John D. Edwards, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a native of San Antonio, having graduated from Keystone School. He attended college at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree, then for medical school matriculated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed both his Internship in General Surgery and Residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. He is active in the community, having served as President of the San Antonio Society of Otolaryngology, as Secretary and Treasurer of the Texas Association of Otolaryngology, on the Board of Directors of the Bexar County Medical Society, and on the Witte Museum Board of Trustees. Dr. Edwards is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and specializes in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty, diseases of the ears, sinuses, adenoids, and tonsils in children.
